so it looks like the birds have a decent receiver in Desean Jackson, the rookie from Cal ... over 100 receiving and nearly another hundred in punt returns Sunday's carpet bombing of St. Louis.if - and if not an if i'm condoning or looking forward to coming true - mcnabb is outta philly next year (as the pundits seem to think), i'll happily trade in my No. 5 for a No. 10 jersey. Gina already called it, but we'll have to talk.
Philly is STARVED for a star receiver. If he's the real deal and continues at a pro bowl level ... oh man, i'm geeked just thinking about it. But the last receiver in this town who could've been elected mayor totally f'ed it all up. Let's hope desean keeps the ego in check and doesn't pull a "TO."
by the way, the birds had three receivers over the century mark on sunday- Jackson (106), GLew (105) and Baskett (102). First time in nearly 50 years. Not bad for a bunch of has beens and never will bes ... i think reggie brown's hammy will be healing up pretty quickly. Doesn't hurt, either, that McNabb is 100 percent.
